WALKING AND CYCLING FOR HEALTH

The Lancashire Community Rail Partnerships actively encourage people to exercise for health reasons and below is a guide that encourages people to use public transport and in particular the railways to access walks and cycle rides.

NORTHERN RAIL RANGERS & ROVERS

Northern Rail have recently revamped the publicity for their Ranger and Rover tickets. There are five new brochures available from manned stations or by download from the Northern Rail website at www.northernrail.org/offers/dayrangers or by clicking the appropriate links below.

The North West - including the Lancashire Day Ranger, the East Lancashire Day Ranger and North West Round Robin.
The North of England - including the North West Rover, North Country Rover and Coast and Peaks Rover.
Cumbria and The Lake District - including the Cumbria Day Ranger, the Cumbrian Coast Day Ranger and Lakes Day Ranger.
Yorkshire - including the Settle – Carlisle Line Day Ranger, and the South pennines Day Ranger.
The North East - including the Hadrian’s Wall Country Day Ranger and the North East Round Robin.
